Hunger strikers hospitalised
Bhopal, Mar 17 (UNI) Five representatives of non-government organisations, working for 1984 gas tragedy victims, have been admitted to the local Hamidia Hospital after their health deteriorated due to a hunger strike in support of various demands.
Hospitalisation was advised by a Hamidia medical team that examined the protesters.
''Analysis of the representatives' urine samples led to the conclusion that their health was challenged. They were agitating since March 5,'' District Collector S K Mishra said in a release.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had met the agitators and certain demands were already met. The administration is already working on demands relating to health, treatment, relief, rehabilitation etc, the release added.
