Hyderabad, March 17 (UNI) The Congress Legislature Party today alleged that the CPI(M) was trying to block developmental projects and the SEZs in Andhra Pradesh by launching agitations against land acquisition, while it was silent over the same in West Bengal for SEZs and other projects.

In a statement here, party Chief Whip N Kiran Kumar Reddy and Whips S Udaya Bhanu and D Sridhar Babu faulted CPI(M) state secretary and politbureau member B V Raghavulu for attacking the Congress for its comments on the Nandigram firing.

They said the constituents of the West Bengal Government had criticised the CPI(M) and that it was much stronger than that of the Congress.

Though the government was implementing all the projects in a transparent manner, by calling all-party meetings, the CPI(M) was politicising it, they added.

Mr Raghavulu was mum on the Nandigram incident and land acquisition in Singur reflecting his double standards, they alleged.
