Cong will win all local body constituencies: PCC Chief

Hyderabad, Mar 17 (UNI)Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee President K Keshava Rao today claimed that the Congress Candidates would emerge victorious in all the local body constituencies in the Member of Legislative Council(MLC) elections held today.

Talking to newsmen here he claimed that the party had received reports from all the places that their candidates would defintely win the elctions.

Asked about rebel candidates in some districts, including Srikakulam, he said the party was not worried about rebel candidates. The rebel candidates would be defeated as the majority of the ZPTC and MPTC. The other local body members had supported the official candidates only, he claimed.

Referring to Telugu Desam Party's support to Congress rebel candidates in Srikalulam, Mr Keshava Rao said it was unfair on the part of TDP to support the rebel candidates at the cost of their own candidates. It indicates TDP degenerative politics.

He also refuted the reported charge of TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu that the Congress had spent lakhs of rupees and distributed liquor for the MLC elections from the Graduates constituencies.
