Cong raps Chautala for not backing Haryana SGPC
Karnal, Mar 17 (UNI) The Haryana Congress today criticised Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) Om Prakash Chautala for following Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal's agenda in Haryana ''much against the interests of the people of the state.'' State Congress spokesman Ved Prakash Vidrohi said Mr Chautala and his party stood exposed by its non-coperative stance on the formation of a separate Shromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) for Haryana.
While an overwhelming majority of Sikh in Haryana have submitted affidavits in favour of separate SGPC, the INLD was feeling shy of lending support to the demand.
When a non-official resolution seeking formation a separate SGPC was being taken up in the Haryana Assembly recently, INLD members walked out of the House instead of supporting the resolution.
