Cong has turned poll into farce: TDP
Hyderabad, March 17 (UNI) Opposition Leader and Former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today alleged the Congress had turned the entire election process into a farce by indulging in corrupt practices.
Speaking to newsmen after casting his vote for the Legislative Council elections, Mr Naidu alleged each Congress candidate had spent Rs ten crore and added it was sad the party was 'corrupting' even the educated voters.
He also charged the election process was not transparent.
CPI State Secretary K Narayana said both the ruling Congress and the Opposition TDP were indulging in vote bank politics.
He told newsmen candidates of both parties were spending money like water and liquor was flowing like a stream. He said such incidents came to his party's notice from Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Mahabubnagar and other districts.
As the voters were educated, he hoped they would not yield to the inducements and elect good candidates.
Mr Narayana and BJP Senior Leader Prem Singh Rathode today cast votes here.
