CECMAR moots networking management research institutions

Tiruchirapalli, Mar 17 (UNI) The Center for Contemporary Management Research (CECMAR) which is part of Bharathidasan Institute of Management here will be taking initiatives to network management research institutions across the country for better exchange of knowledge by management consultants and academicians.

In his inaugural address at the international conference on 'Contemporary Research Management' -- ATHENAEUM 2007 -- today, Prof Sundar, who is incharge of CECMAR, said networking would be very useful to identify and analyse issues in management and disseminate knowledge contents to practitioners, researchers and students of management.

There are plans to build research database for providing assistance to industry with appropriate solutions. The network also envisages conduct of seminars, conferences and special lectures by leading personalities through video conferencing or organising frequent conventions at convenient venues, Prof Sunder informed.

Academicians from Pakistan, Iran, Canada, Mexico and Dubai, besides researchers, scholars and consultants across the country are participating in the two-day conference. Over 24 research papers would be submitted.
