UP: Labour Party (Secular) merges with SP

Party
(Secular)
today
merged
with
the
ruling
Samajwadi
Party
in
Uttar
Pradesh.
Party's
president
Bharat
Singh
Baghel
announced
the
merger
in
the
presence
of
Chief
Minister
Mulayam
Singh
Yadav
here.
In
the
2002
assembly
poll,
the
party
had
fielded
150
candidates
and
received
1.5
per
cent
vote.
However,
none
of
its
candidate
had
won
in
the
election.
Mr
Yadav
said
the
merger
will
strengthen
SP
in
the
assembly
poll.
