Surveyor suspended for accepting bribe

Surat, Mar 16 (UNI) A surveyor with the Varachcha zone of Surat Municipal Corporation was suspended today after anti-corruption bureau sleuths caught him red handed while accepting bribe.

The accused Kamalesh Patel was caught yesterday while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 1,400 in a property transaction in Poonagam area, sources said.

Today, acting Municipal Commissioner Vijay Sonavane suspended the accused, SMC sources added.
