'Smart N Excellent' corners glory

Bangalore, Mar 16 (UNI) Hot favourite S Ganapathy's ward 'Smart N Excellent', piloted by Jockey Imran Chisty, lifted the Racing Patrons Trophy, the main event of the winter meeting here today.

The winner is owned by Dr M A M Ramaswamy.

Trainer S Padmanabhan scored a treble, while Jockeys Suraj Narredu and J H Christopher had a brace each.

Punters burnt their fingers as only two favourites obliged in a card of nine events.
