APCC pays tributes to Potti Sriramulu

Hyderabad, Mar 16 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) paid glowing tributes to freedom fighter and Gandhian Potti Sriramulu on the eve of his birth anniversary.

Mr Sriramulu had sacrificed his life for the formation of an exclusive state for the Telugu speaking people by undertaking a 58-day long fast unto death.

The APCC Vice-President A Chakrapani garlanded the portrait of Mr Sriramulu at the state party headquarters and recalled his services.

Several state Congress leaders were also present, a release said here today.
