Sonia to attend felicitation function organised by PMK

Chennai, Mar 15 (UNI) Congress President and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi will participate in the function organised by the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) to felicitate her for supporting the Draft Bill in the Parliament, providing 27 per cent reservation for the OBC students.

A PMK release here today said the PMK delegation led by Union Minister of State for Railways R Velu handed over a letter to Ms Gandhi at New Delhi written by PMK Founder President Ramadoss, requesting her to attend the function.

Ms Gandhi, thanking for inviting her, agreed to attend the felicitation function, the release said.

The function date would be announced after perusing Ms Gandhi's convenient date. Most probably it would held either during the last week of this month or first week of next month, the release said.

All DPA and UPA leaders, including DMK President and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi would be invited to attend the function, the release added.
