Son brutally murders father over a domestic quarrel.

Tiruchirapalli, Mar 15: A senior official of the Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) here was brutually murdered by his teenaged son at home in Ezhil Nagar on the city outskirts late last night over a domestic quarrel.

A senior civil manager with the BHEL, Nandagopal (48) used to frequently quarrel with his wife.

Last night, the couple had heated arguments during which N Ramkarthik (19) stabbed Nandagopal at 30 places with a knife.

Nandagopal fell dead in a pool of blood. His wife, who tried to intervene, received a stab injury and was admitted to a hospital.

Ramkarthik then surrendered before the police along with the weapon used in the crime.
