New Delhi, Mar 15 (UNI) Terming the killing of 14 people in Nandigram as ''state sponsored genocide'', Janata Party President Subramanian Swamy today said it resembled the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
Dr Swamy said the police did not have reasons yesterday to fire at people protesting the setting up of a Special Economic Zone at Nandigram as it was internationally recognised as 'satyagraha' of Mahatma Gandhi.
This gruesome incident should open the eyes of democratic forces as the Communists the world over were of the same ilk--killing unarmed people to retain power and authority.
Dr Swamy said Mahatma Gandhi's grandson Gopal Krishna Gandhi was the Governor of West Bengal and he must act to rectify the genocide by calling the Chief Minister to account for it otherwise he will not be true to his legacy.
