Review meet for 5th, 6th phase poll on Mar 19, 22

Lucknow, Mar 15: The Election Commission will hold review of poll preparation for the fifth and sixth phase of Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections on March 19 and 22 respectively.

State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Anuj Kumar Bishnoi said here today Deputy Election Commissioner R Bhattarcharya will hold the meeting of the fifth phase here on March 19.

The meeting of the sixth phase would be held at Allahabad on March 22, where Mr Bhattarcharya will be the EC representative.

All the DMs, SSPs, DIGs and divisional commissioners concerned would attend the meeting.

Meanwhile, the EC will hold a training programme for the Returning Officers (ROs) of Ghaziabad, Meerut, Saharanpur, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bullandshahr, Baghpat and Muzaffarnagar districts tomorrow at Meerut. EC advisor K R Prasad will chair the training programme.
