Probe into Padghe power sub-station fire instituted
Mumbai, Mar 15 (UNI) A six-member committee has been appointed to probe the causes of yesterday's fire at the Padghe power sub-station resulting in disruption of power supply to towns on the outskirts of Mumbai.
Mr Subrat Ratho, MD of power transmission company- Mahatransco has appointed the committee today which will be headed by Mr A K Deshmukh, former director of Mahatransco. The committee has been asked to submit its report in 15 days, sources said.
Mr Ratho has also ordered the transfer of a superitendent engineer who was in charge of the Padghe power sub-station.
Power supply to Bhiwandi, Dombivali, Vasai and Kalyan was affected due to fire at a 220 kv sub station at Padghe at 0558 hrs yesterday.
It will take a week's time for total normalcy, Mr Ratho had said yesterday.
