Police track e-mail threat source; one held

Chennai, Mar 15 (UNI) The Cyber Crime Wing of the City Police arrested a software engineer on charges of sending an e-mail threat to the Police Commissioner's Office stating that bombs would explode at Chennai Central and Egmore Railway stations and Rippon Building, the headquarters of the Chennai Corporation.

Police said the Miscreant Stanley Sajish (30) of Mysore was working in a software firm in Bangalore and had developed an illicit relationship with a colleague. However, the girl got married to one Prakash of Tiruvi KA Nagar, in the city, at the instance of her family.

Infuriated with her move, he sent the email to the police using Prakash's ID.

Sajish was later remanded to judicial custody, police added.
