Undertrials escape

Jabalpur, Mar 14 (UNI) Three undertrials accused in a bank robbery case escaped from custody after a hearing at the District Court here but two of them were rearrested.

Furnishing details of last evening's incident, Additional Superintendent of Police Manohar Verma said, ''Sultan, Imtiaz and Naushad are charged with a two-year-old robbery at the local Dena Bank branch in Anand Nagar. They escaped while preparations were being made to convey them back to Central Jail. Imtiaz and Naushad were rearrested near the court.'' Constable Chandrakant, who brought the trio to court, is being questioned.
