The CNF has been fighting for the democracy of the people of Myanmar for the past two decades and took the initiative of holding talks for finding an amicable solution to the problem.

CNF sources here today said the team would hold meeting at Rih township in Chin state, along the No 2 Indo-Burma border trade road, across Champai town of Mizoram tomorrow.

SPDC Lieutenant Colonel MyinThin would be leading the meeting, the sources informed.

The meeting would highlight problems faced by Chin political parties, youths and women as well as other regional associations, which had an alliance with the CNF.

The group, belongs to the Peace and Tranquility Committee (PTC), was established in 1996 by Chin Christian pastors and leaders, which mediated for the talks to get off the ground between the CNF and SPDC for the first time.

The main aim of the PTC was to start talks between the Chin National Front and the SPDC in order to bring peace in the state.
