Silver, gold fall on weak global advice
Mumbai, Mar 13 (UNI) Silver and gold fell on weak global advice today with the white metal sliding by Rs 55 per kg and gold by Rs 15 per ten gm on the Bombay Bullion Exchange.
Silver fineness opened upward this morning on good demand at Rs 19,420 per kg but later declined and closed at Rs 19,355 per kg with a loss of Rs 55 from its yesterday's close.
In London, silver also went down at USD 12.94/12.97 per troy ounce against USD 12.95/13.02 per troy ounce in New York.
Similarly, standard gold (99.5) and pure gold (99.9) opened downward at Rs 9,360 and Rs 9,410 per ten gm on thin buying support.
Both the yellow metals drifted lower and closed at Rs 9,345 and Rs 9,395 with a loss of Rs 15 each from their last close.
In London, the yellow metal also fell at USD 646.10/648.00 per troy ounce as compared to USD 651.40/654.00 per troy ounce in New York on Monday.
