Rajkot, Mar 13 (UNI) A physically challenged 14-year-old girl by appearing for 10th standard board exams proved that determination can win any odds.

Jaladhi Vachhrajani is suffering from osteogenesis imperfecta, a bone disease which stopped her growth at a very early age, her uncle-Doctor Vibhakar Vachhrajani told UNI today.

Two-feet in height, she could not sit on a chair and had to lie down and dictate her answers to a 'writer' during the exam, which began here yesterday.

Dr Vachhrajani said his brother Vijaybhai was a Bank officer who died in 2001, since then Jaladhi's mother Mala took care of her after shifting from Bhavnagar to Rajkot.

Despite being disabled, Jaladhi faced every challenge with a smile and is very brilliant in studies. She always scored eighty plus marks in examinations, he said.

She got admission in Kotak School, but could not go to school due to her disability. Her mother arranged tutor for her and her elder sister Drishti (21) also helped her in studies.

A special room has been arranged for her at the examination venue where she could easily dictate her answers to a 9th standard student Devanshi (writer).
