Bar Mohanlal from govt programmes: MGNF

Kottayam, Mar 13 (UNI) Mahatma Gandhi National Foundation (MGNF) today asserted that actor Mohanlal should not be allowed to participate in government programmes.

Criticising the government for appointing Mohanlal, who had ealier acted in an liquor advertisement, as the goodwill ambassador of the AIDS Control Society, MGNF Chairman Eby J Jose opined that Mohanlal's comment that AIDS campaign was his responsibility was nothing but a farce.

He opined that the move to include Mohanlal in the advertisement for handloom was tantamount to ridiculing Mahatma Gandhi.
