Praja Front announces candidates for LC poll

Hyderabad, Mar 12 (UNI) The Praja Front, a conglomeration of six parties, today announced its candidates for the ensuing Legislative Council elections from the graduate constituencies.

The Front consists of the Republication Party of India, BC United Front Party, Secular Democratic People's Party of India, Mahajan Party, Bahujana Community Party and Dalit Bahujana Party.

Addressing a press conference here, Front Convener and Co-convener Bojja Tarakam and P Ramakrishnaiah respectively said they had decided to field candidates to raise voice in the Council on people's problems.

They alleged that the successive governments in the state had not given proper representation to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes in politics.

They appealed to the graduates to vote for candidates from the backward communities to give them due representation in the Council.
