Polling ends in Kolhapur, Sangli
Kolhapur, Mar 11 (UNI) Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti polls passed off peacefully today in western Maharashtra's sugarcane belt Kolhapur and Sangli districts.
Election office sources said Kolhapur and Sangli reported about 70 per cent polls.
Barring minor altercations in some villages near polling booths, voting was peaceful, sources said.
In these two districts, the main competition was between the Congress and NCP apart from other parties.
The counting will commence at 0800 hrs tomorrow.
