Maoist leader surrenders
Mahaboobnagar, Andhra Pradesh, Mar 11 (UNI) A Top Maoist leader today surrendered before the District Superintendent of Police here.
According to police Special Guerilla Squad Deputy Commander and District Committee Member Maddila Narasimha alias Bhaskar went underground in 1997 and worked in several Maoist groups in Mahaboonagar and Prakasham Districts before surrendering due to unfair treatment meted out to him by the Dalam members.
District Superintendent of Police Charu Sinha said Narasimha would be rehabilitated as per rules.
She appealed to the Maoists to join the mainstream saying the government would not harm the surrendered Maoists in anyway.
Instead, they would be rehabilitated suitably.
