CM invites Mizo ethnic groups to come together

Aizawl, Mar 11: Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga has invited all ethnic tribes of Mizo descendents scattered throughout the world to come together.

Speaking on the occasion of Chapchar Kut festival here at Assam Rifles ground yesterday, Zoramthanga said ethnic Zo tribes are scattered all over the region in separate groups and it is high time that they come together to achieve recognition as a great nation.

Apart from Mizoram, Zo Hnahthlak (Zo enthinc tribes) are found in Manipur, Tripura and Asom in Northeast as well as neighbouring Myanmar and Bangladesh, he said.

''Though political boundaries may separate us physically but it cannot separate our hearts and we are brothers sharing the same forefathers'', Zoramthanga stated.
