'BJP hopes to continue its winning spree in UP, Goa'
Hyderabad, Mar 11: The BJP today expressed hope that the partywould win the ensuing assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh and Goa afterits landslide victory in Punjab and Uttaranchal polls.
Addressing a press conference here, party spokesman PrakashJavedkar said the results were clear indications that the people werevexed with the Congress for its failure to curb inflation and pricerise.
Stating that the Andhra Pradesh and Maharastra Governments hadfailed to curb the farmers' suicides, he said they should follow theGujarat Government and its Chief Minister Narendra Modi's pro-farmerpolicies, which are helping the farmers to flourish.
He also alleged Andhra Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy was trying to muzzle the press freedom with his bullying tactics.
The BJP leader said the party would perform well in the ensuingelections to the Legislative Council from the Graduates Constituencies.
