Rains make Rajasthan chilly again
Jaipur, Mar 10 (UNI) Many places in Rajasthan witnessed rain and hailstorm in the last 24 hours, bringing a chill in the state.
Churu received 7 mm rainfall, the highest in the state, and Ganganagar remained the coldest mapping 12.8 degree Celsius.
The state capital received rainfall accompanied with cold winds last night and early this morning. However, the sun was out in the afternoon. The minimum temperature recorded here was 15.3 degrees and the rainfall measured 1.2 mm.
According to the meteorological department, western disturbance has been reponsible for the rainfall in northern and western parts of the state.
Jaipur, Pilani, Jhalawar, Churu and Ganganagar got rains while Bikaner witnessed hailstorm. Many places in the state saw a drop of one to three degrees.
Pilani in Jhunjhunu recorded 13.1 degrees, Jhalawar 17, Udaipur 14, Bikaner 14.6, Dholpur 14.8, Jaipur 15.3, Churu 15.5, Jaisalmer 15.7, Ajmer and Bharatpur 18, Jodhpur 18.8, Sawai Madhopur 16.5, Barmer 19.1, Kota 19.4, Bundi 20 and Rawatbhata 21.2.
The weather office has predicted rainfall accompanied with thundering in northern Rajasthan and the weather will remain dry in rest of the state. Jaipur is likely to remain partly cloudy.
