Kohima: Minor shot at, Pen pistol recovered

Kohima, Mar 10: Dimapur police arrested four Manipuri youths for extortion and shooting a minor boy from Golaghat Road area of Dimapur town and recovered one US made Pen pistol from their possession on Friday.

Official sources today said they were caught at the time of demading of Rs 20,000 from a housewife at Naga United Village. When she refused to part with money, they fired but the bullet hit her fourteen-year-old son and seriously injured him.

Police also seized one round of .22 ammunition from them.

In another incident, some unidentified miscreants shot at one NSCN-IM cadre at Walford area of Dimapur town. He was rushed to a private nursing home, where he was fighting for his life, sources said.
