Financial institutions to cooperate in development: Nitish
Munger, Mar 10 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today said that a number of national and international financial institutions were ready to cooperate with the government in their quest to accelerate the pace of development in Bihar.
Addressing a function after laying foundation stones of various development projects here, Mr Kumar said that assurance for the assistance from various financial institutions including World Bank, Asian Development Bank and JBEC--a Japanies Bank to accelerate the pace of development in the state was encouraging.
''Funds offered by these financial institutions for development of the state were more than sufficient'' he remarked.
Mr Kumar said that state government had approved investment proposals of Rs 27,000 crores so far and several others were in pipeline. He averred that there was perceptible change in the image of Bihar during the last fifteen months and several big industries houses were now coming forward for investment in the state.
''Several industrialists and businessmen who had earlier migrated from Bihar to other parts of the country due to poor law and order situation, during the RJD regime, were now returning to the state'' he claimed.
