BJP's win a danger for the Congress

Kolkata, Mar 10 (UNI) All India Trade Union Congress(AITUC) general secretary Gurudas Dasgupta today said he will challenge the Centre's Special Economic Zone(SEZ) policy in Parliament.

Mr Dasgupta also warned the Congress and the Left Parties regarding BJP's victory in the last Uttarakhand and Punjab assembly elections, saying it may prove to be a 'danger' to both the parties.

''The Congress-led UPA governmnent at the centre is responsible for their defeat. Their anti-people policies and failure to check price rise were the main reasons,'' Mr Dasgupta said in a rally here.

''We want farmland for industrialisation in the state but are against forcefully acquiring land. The administration should discuss with the farmers before taking any action in this regard,'' he said.
