AP govt implementing welfare measures for poor : YC leader

Vijayawada, Mar 10 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh government was implementing several welfare measures for dalits and poor people, Pradesh Youth Congress President J R Sudhakar Babu said today.

Talking to reporters here, he said the Youth Congress would organise campaign to highlight the welfare measures taken up the Rajasekhara Reddy government to the people.

The Congress government was committed to the welfare of the dalits and weaker sections, he added.

He said the opposition Telugu Desam Party had no right to talk on social justice as during their nine-year rule they had totally neglected the farmers and down-trodden people.

The party district commitees would be formed soon, he added.
