Police seized charas, held one person

Rajkot, Mar 9 (UNI) The police seized charas valued at about rupees 35,000 and arrested one person from the city yesterday.

Acting on a tip off, the police party raided the house of Bachu Kanji in Mafatiyapara area and recovered 586 gram charas from the place. Police also seized cash rs 1200 from Bachu and arrested him under the Narcotics act.

The accused confessed to the police that he used to purchase the substance from a person residing in Surat and selling it in Rajkot.

Further investigation is on.
