Opposition ''unitedly conspiring'' against SP: Mulayam
Lucknow, Mar 9 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav today alleged that all the parties had united against SP and hatched a conspiracy to prevent it coming to power again in the state.
''The recent CBI probe order against me and my family is the result of such conspiracies,'' Mr Yadav said talking to mediapersons here.
The CM further reiterated he had no faith in CBI probes, asthey were ''always biased''.
However, he asserted the opposition parties will be wiped out in the coming UP assembly poll. ''They have hatched a conspiracy to defame me...people will give a befitting reply to the opposition.'' ''If any force is used against me, then it will only boomrang on my adversaries,'' he warned.
On the coming poll, Mr Yadav lamented that people charged him with manipulating the election process. ''I also want free and fair election and I am helping Election Commission in every possible way to this end.'' Earlier, the CM, during the foundation day function of an eveninger, said terrorism and naxalism could only be countered by solving the problems of people and winning their confidence.
''If my government is voted back to power, then a financial package will be announced to deal with naxalism.'' Commenting on media, Mr Yadav observed that newspapers and weeklies today contained more ads than news content.
