Memo to PM for quick solution of pending issues in Guj

Gandhinagar, Mar 9 (UNI) A delegation of BJP MPs from Gujarat, led by leader of Opposition L K Advani met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and submitted a memorandum, urging quick solution to the pending problems of the State.

In the memorandum, the MPs cited the development of Gujarat and alleged that the Centre had done injustice to the State in Central and Railway budget, a party release issued here today said.

The memorandum demanded the extension of package for industrial development in Kutch after earthquake, passing of industrial park bill, reduction in custom duty on ship breaking industry, upgradation of Surat and Rajkot airports, stretching of Ahmedabad-Vadodara Express Highway, resumption of Ahmedabad-Dandi heritage route and converting Gandhidham-Mundra Highway into four-lane highway, the release said.

It also demanded starting an IIT in Gujarat, declaring Sardar Sarovar Project as national project and connecting ports with roadways, the release added.
