India should develop its own Cyber Security system
Bangalore, Mar 9 (UNI) The IT minds in India should help the country develop its own Cyber Security technology, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University Vice Chancellor Venkat Rangan said today.
Speaking at a seminar on Cyber Security organsied jointly by International Telecom Union and Amrita University here, he said that advanced countries, who allowed collaborations in automobiles, will never part with their innovations in Cyber Security. The country should take a cue from Israel, which despite being a small country had overtaken the United States in developing technology on Cyber Security.
He said the field of Cyber Security was still at nascent stage in India, but offered great prospects for the Indian IT professionals.
The explosion in information sharing on line due to convergence of worldwide business and transactions on cyber media. Information was being exchanged in fine granuality making it very complex that had left no space for error. Hence cyber security assumed vital importance, he added.
