Guj Govt committed to continue with prohibition: Shah

Gandhinagar, Mar 9 (UNI) Gujarat Home Minister Amit Shah today stressed that the state government was firm in its resolve to continue with the prohibition policy.

The state government is determined to continue with the prohibition policy which has proved effective, Mr Shah said in a statement here today.

Countering the Congress allegation that the state government was going lax on prohibition, Mr Shah retorted, ''Let the Congress implement the policy in the states where it is in power.'' Mr Shah also flayed the Congress opposition in the state for alleging that the law and order situation in Gujarat had worsened.

''The law and order situation in Gujarat is far better than any Congress-ruled state,'' he remarked.
