Cong expels five rebels for six years
Hyderabad, Mar 9 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) today expelled five of its leaders from the party for six years for contesting as rebels in the elections to the state Legislative Council .
PCC president K Keshava Rao expelled Gorle Haribabu (Srikakulam), B Venkateswar Rao (West Godavari), Vallepu Raghavulu (Prakasam), Chintala Somanna (Nalgonda) and P Venkatrama Reddy (East Godavari).
He directed Congress members of MPTC and ZPTC, who were the voters in respective districts, to ensure party's victory in the Council elections.
Any violation of this would render them liable for disciplinary action, including expulsion, he warned.
