Cong denies joining Fourth Front in UP

New Delhi, Mar 9 (UNI) The congress today made it clear that the party had not agreed to become a part of the proposed Fourth Front consisting of smaller parties ahead of the Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh.

Denying a press report about the Congress having agreed to form the Fourth Front, Congress General Secretary and UP-incharge Ashok Gehlot told UNI that "Only talks are on with smaller parties but nothing has been finalised so far by the Congress.'' The press reports stated that the Congress had agreed to form an alliance for the Uttar Pradesh elections with the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD), Jan Morcha Alliance (JMA)and United Democratic Front(UDF).
