BJS ready to form alliance with Shiv Sena:Uma

Indore, Mar 9 (UNI) Bharatiya Jan Shakti (BJS) President Uma Bharti today said the BJS had come out of the BJP in the same manner in which the latter had come out of the Jan Sangh.

Asserting that the BJS and the Shiv Sena are the only Hindutva-based parties in the country today, Ms Bharti said her party was ready to enter into an alliance with the Shiv Sena whenever a proposal comes in this regard.

She alleged that the BJP was plagued with problems of corruption, nepotism and criminalisation -- something which the latter blamed the Congress to be suffering from.

Ms Bharti said her party must get the support of the RSS, as her party stood by the principles of Hindutva and Swadeshi besides being a supporter of clean politics.

The fiery sanyasin claimed that the results of assembly elections in Uttarakhand proved that Hindutva supporters had rejected the BJP, which has been forced to take support from independents to form a government.

She said her party had prepared a list of 700 candidates for assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh and claimed that her party will emerge victorious in 15-20 seats besides ensuring for the defeat of the BJP in 30-40 seats.

The BJS leader felt as the BJP and the BJS were parties following same ideology, the Congress could receive setbacks in north India as it did in Tamil Nadu with the rise of the DMK and the AIDMK.

She alleged that the BJP had discarded its ideology for the sake of coming to power. The BJP was using the RSS as its shield in UP as it was becoming weaker there, she claimed.
