Rang Panchami in western MP

Shajapur, MP, Mar 8 (UNI) Rang Panchami will be celebrated across western Madhya Pradesh tomorrow with a 15-day fair getting underway at Baba Garibnath's samadhi -- symbolising communal harmony -- in Malwa region's Avantipur Badodia, 50 km from this district headquarters.

Several traders make a beeline for the mela for purchase and sale of wood for contruction.

Baba Garibnath arrived here about two centuries ago, became a permanent resident and passed away in 1801.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan worshipped at the samadhi last year and announced that the Culture Department would organise programmes every Rang Panchami.
