Johny Lukos wins award

Thrissur, Kerala, Mar 7 (UNI) Manorama News Channel Director Johny Lukos has been selected for this year's K V Daniel Memorial Award for his overall contribution to journalism.

The award was instituted by the family of Mr K V Daniel who founded the Telegraph which was the first evening daily in Kerala to be published from here.

The award carrying a cash prize of Rs 10,001, a citation and a memento will be presented to him at a function to be held here at the end of this month in connection with the commencement of the year-long Golden Jubilee Celebrations of the Telegraph Daily, Award Committee Chairman P Sreedharan told reporters here yesterday.
