5 final year law college students suspended

Chennai, Mar 7: The Principal of Dr Ambedkar Government Law College here has suspended five final year students for allegedly thrashing junior students.

Police said there was heated exchange of words between the seniors and junior students over conducting a cultural programme here recently, resulting in enmity. It was alleged that Elumalai and four others in the final year beat up a few law students studying in third and fourth year.

Based on the complaint from both the students group, the Prinicipal conducted a detailed inquiry over the incident and suspended five senior students yesterday, police added.
