Civic engineer manhandled by corporator

Kolhapur, Mar 7 (UNI) A civic engineer was today manhandled by a corporator who was allegedly enraged that a drinking water project in his ward had been started without hosting any official function.

The corporator, Suresh Dhonukshe, was allegedly angry that Kolhapur Municipal Corporation water supply department engineer Sharad Ghatge had started the project without any fanfare thereby depriving the former of any credit for the project.

Mr Dhonukshe had earlier expressed a desire that a function should be hosted to mark the occasion but was enraged that his wish had not been fulfilled.
