Mortars fired at Mogadishu airport-Reuters witness
MOGADISHU, Mar 6 (Reuters) More than a dozen mortar bombs were fired at Mogadishu's international airport today shortly after Ugandan soldiers landed there as the vanguard of an African Union peacekeeping force, a Reuters reporter said.
There were at least 16 explosions from the mortar strikes near the airport, but it was not clear if the strikes hit the section of the facility where the Ugandans were, the reporter said.
