Junior doctors in NCH on strike on second day

Surat, Mar 6 (UNI) The Junior Doctors Association continued their strike for the second day today at the New Civil Hospital, over alleged assault of their colleague from the radiology department by relatives of a patient there, authorities said.

The striking doctors met Hospital Superintendent M K Wadel and asked him to provide security cover to them, hospital sources said.

The agitating doctors have alleged that such incidents have become a regular occurrence and the hospital authorities are not willing to provide sufficient security to them.

The strike, has however, not disrupted the functioning of the hospital, hospital sources added.
