Geelani to be allowed treatment in US: PM
New Delhi, Mar 6 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today asked government agencies to extend all possible assistance to Syed Ali Shah Geelani, ailing Chairman of the breakaway All Party Hurriyat Conference, to have treatment in the United States.
PMO sources said Mr Geelani would be issued a passport and allowed to take a US visa to enable him to take treatment.
Dr Singh's directive comes in the wake of appeals made by Hurriyat Conference leaders.
