Suspended legislator arrested in Rajasthan
Jaipur, Mar 5 (UNI) Suspended Rajasthan legislator Ranvir Singh Gudha was arrested by the police from Nawalgarh in Jhunjhunu district and released on bail later.
This information was given by Vidhan Sabha Speaker Sumitra Singh in the House today. She said Mr Gudha was arrested on charges of disrupting peace under Section 151 at around 2200 hrs on Saturday night.
Mrs Singh said a procession is usually taken out on the occasion of Holi in Nawalgarh. Mr Gudha was trying to instigate the people to change the route of the procession to provoke different communities and hence arouse communal pssions.
The police arrested the legislator for disrupting peace. He was later released on bail.
Mr Gudha is one of the four suspended legislators, who was suspended for the entire Budget session when he tried to disrupt the Governor's address on the first day.
