Maoists kill Cong leader in AP

Mahaboobnagar, Andhra Pradesh, Mar 5 (UNI) CPI(Maoist) Naxals shot to death a district Congress Leader and Mandal Parishad Territorial Constitutency (MPTC) Member near Marikal village of Peddakothpalli Mandal of the district today.

Police said Prakash was gunned down by the Maoists when he was inspecting the road construction works in the village this morning.

He died on the spot. The police sounded a red alert and launched search operations to nab the assailants.
