BJP candidate for ZP polls attacked

Pune, Mar 5 (UNI) BJP candidate for the upcoming Zilla Parishad elections, Shashikant Shitole, was attacked by unidentified persons in the Sanghvi area here today.

The 34-year-old BJP leader was attacked by miscreants, who severely injured his hands, police sources said.

Although the exact motive behind the attack is not known, political rivalry cannot be ruled out, sources added.
