Anganwadi workers on fast

Puducherry,Mar 5(UNI)The anganwadi workers union today observed a fast in front of the Legislative Assembly today to press their demands.

They were demanding among other things the reinstatement of aged persons who were terminated from service.

They alleged the government had regularised the service of the anganwadi workers.However, within months of the regularisation, the services of a few workers were terminated citing old age,they claimed.
